Music and Mirrors (cursed Hearts #2) by Candace Robinson

Candace delivers again. In her first book, Lyrics and Curses, we see Lark and Auden fighting to survive against a curse that will steal their souls. In the sequel, we see the reflection of that story and dive into the other dimension and the real reasons for the curse.

The two antagonists, Leni and Ridley are from the dimension on the other side of the mirror, and they have no choice but to fulfill the curse. However, they find a clue that might help them break the curse forever, but they will first have to convince Lark and Auden to help them.

With music of the 1980s as a stimulus, this story jumps dimensions to bring a satisfying tale of oppression, greed and hope.

Boundry Waters (Cork O’Connor #2) by William Kent Krueger

A highly successful musician has hidden herself deep in the wilderness of the Boundry Waters to heal from the pressures of success. But others are searching for her; and not to help her. Cork is called on to find and protect this woman. The woman’s father, the FBI, and a mobster are all anxious to find her, but their reasons are varied and suspicious. Cork must trust no one as the forces converge.

Krueger brings another exciting and beautifully written adventure to the table. The story has all the twists and surprises expected in a thriller of this caliber.

I just love this series.
