Shelter by Erica R. Stinson

The story follows Gabriel, a father struggling to find a job to support him and his daughter, Anne who is deaf. While travelling to a potential job interview, the two suffer an accident during a blizzard and find shelter in a partially completed mansion. But his shelter is unlike any other. Trapped with time running out, Gabriel and Anne must work together to escape their prison—their shelter.

This was a very believable story and as a parent, I was thrust into Gabriel’s character wondering what I would do to save my child.

I was given an advance reading copy in exchange for an honest review.

Clouded By Envy by Candace Robinson

Meet Brenik and Bray.

These two siblings are refuges from an alternate world where their species, the Bats, have been eradicated. Now these two tiny creatures must find away to live on Earth. Everything comes easy to Bray, where Brenik needs to struggle. This resentment begins to take its toll on the family dynamics and leads to a horrible, warped wish that leads to horror. As the story develops, Bray and her human friends must find and help Brenik fight the evil within to save him from himself.

This is a story of family, hope, loss and sacrifice. The author spins a great tale full of wonder and suspense and is not afraid of playing hardball. I really enjoyed the story and will definitely be on the watch for more from this author.

On top of the story, check out the amazing cover art for this novel. The cover invokes the wonder and awe that Ms. Robinson brings to her story.

Ranger: Book 3 in the Dark Elf War by William Stacey

 Out of this World!

And deep into Faerum, the home of the Dark Elves and their blood thirsty armies.

This third installment has all our favorite characters back for a little payback. With the Earth contaminated because of the damage left behind by the evil Fae Queen Tuatha de Talinor culling machine, the humans need to find a new home. But they’ll have one hell of a fight on their hands.

Stacey offers up the most action-packed story yet. The depths of this savage world in all its raw splendor is displayed by a master storyteller.

I don't want this story to end!
