Paradise Lot – A GoneGod World boxset by R. E. Vance

My First Urban Fantasy Thriller.
When I was asked to give this box set a read and a review I
admit to have reservations. I’ve never jumped an Urban Fantasy before, but I
was quickly and pleasantly surprised. The stories within are interesting, funny,
and full of action.
Image for a moment, that all the Gods around the world and
all through history became bored with their roles and decided to move on from
their plane of existence. Of course, all their worshipers would be lost. Then
to make things real interesting, all the demigods, angels, trolls, fairies and
a hundred “Others” were left behind to coexist with mankind.
Mr. Lance has brought this whole hoard of wild characters
together in a collage of mythical proportions. Join their stories to try to
find their place on earth with the help of Jean-Luc, a former soldier who lost
his beloved wife and is trying to find forgiveness for his sins. There is a lot
of human and inhuman behavior on display and the stories poke fun our own
efforts to fit in.
“BTW...Could you hear the angels singing on high while you read
this review?”
