Review of The Outsider by Stephen King

This is a review of the unabridged audio version – I walk my
dog and listen to books.
I loved this story. It had not only great storytelling but
both realistic as well as the paranormal. What I mean by that is that I was
half way through the story before the supernatural was even indicated. Up until
that part, it was a detective story.
In the story, a child is brutally assaulted and all evidence
points to the town’s popular and respected baseball coach. With both DNA and
eye witness evidence, it is an open and shut case. But this is Stephen King and
nothing is what it seems.
A master of suspense, King brings this spills and thrills.
He eve brings back a character from a past story who plays a major spot. I had
not read the previous story and will heading that way very soon.
Without giving away the ending, I found that it followed the
logical ending of the story line but not the high, action part that we are use
to. But I still can appreciate it and can honestly say I enjoyed the entire
story.
